Reiki, whose English translation is “universal life force energy”, is an ancient hands-on healing technique. It allows the practitioner to act as a conduit that transmits universal life force energy as a therapeutic/healing modality. It can be used to treat others or oneself. In addition to the great number of independent healing professionals offering Reiki therapy, many hospitals and rehabilitation centers offer it as a complementary therapy to conventional medical treatments. It is often combined with massage therapy, physical therapy, and used in hospice settings. Reiki therapy is not recommended as a replacement for conventional medical treatment but as a supplement to it.
Rosalie and Paul DiCrescenzo are both Reiki Master Teachers teaching traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho. In addition to their experience teaching classes and giving private therapy sessions, they have been volunteer Reiki Therapists at the Southern New Hampshire Medical Center (oncology suite and patient floors) and at Winchester Hospital (emergency room). They are also martial arts instructors, teaching the healing, as well as the martial aspects, of Wudang Taiji Quan, Qigong, Internal Kungfu and Bai Long Quan Kungfu (go to www.twodragonspath.com for more information about our martial arts styles and instruction).
